Localised App for Locals
Hong Kong is usually lack of awareness on local sports. We hope there is a platform to provide a linkage between HKSports and local people. The app shows possibly all sports events of Hong Kong. It includes the real-time scores, historical scores, the team and related members. With a one-stop sports event, we hope people can get closer to Hong Kong sports development.
Data Preparation
Data is the pain point of this project. The event data relies on the data provided by different sports association. However, most of their data is not in a well-formatted way. Some are just texts and some are just image. This makes us difficult to process the data.
Therefore, the solution is that we crawl Hong Kong Football Association(HKFA) data as a demo. They provide a relatively good format of data so that they can be successfully represented in our app. After we make up the app, we may communicate with different sports association for the data handling. We may make a sample excel for them to upload sports data or we may eventually come up API integration.
